Description
P30B cell for vaporizers running on an 18650 battery
The P30B powers vaporizers with a removable 18650 cell: Tinymight 2, X-MAX V3 Pro, X-MAX V4 Pro or Arizer ArGo. You take it as a spare for a longer trip or as a replacement for a cell worn out after a few hundred cycles. 3000 mAh capacity: 200 mAh more than the P28A, a longer session between charges.
Low internal resistance: around 15.4 mOhm, voltage sags less under load.
Cooler operation: at the same current draw the cell heats up less.
Charging up to 9 A: with a strong enough charger it gets back to full faster.
500 cycles at 100 W: after that many cycles 75 percent of the capacity remains.
Unprotected cell: flat top without a PCB, do not carry it loose in your pocket. The successor to the Molicel P28A
For years the P28A shipped as the cell bundled with the Tinymight 2, and it is the one you replace when sessions get shorter. The P30B is its newer generation and drops into the same place with no modification: the same 18650 dimensions, the same flat top, the same charger. The difference sits in two numbers. Capacity goes up from 2800 to 3000 mAh, so one charge gives you a few sessions more. Internal resistance drops from around 20 to around 15.4 mOhm, so voltage stays up better under load, the cell heats up less and loses capacity more slowly. Peak current stays at the same level (36 A against 35 A), but a session vaporizer draws only a fraction of that headroom anyway. For charging you need an external charger for 18650 cells, for example the XTAR VC2, because the cell has no USB port. You will find the rest of the spares in the batteries and chargers for vaporizers category. Model
